“Giornate del Turismo” (Tourism Days), an initiative promoted by Geoprogress (http://www.geoprogress.eu/) and by the University of Eastern Piedmont (UPO) and important Italian tourism institutions and associations. Now in its 21st edition, it is being realised in 2022 with the collaboration of the Interdepartmental Study Centre UPONTOURISM. Vision, strategy, research for innovative and sustainable tourism and Ars.Uni.Vco (https://www.arsunivco.eu/).
In addition to the confirmed presence of three keynote speakers of international importance, numerous scholars and experts have confirmed their attendance: they will fuel the debate on the theme of sustainability and tourism, declined in various strands along two days of scientific work.

Oltre alla presenza confermata di tre keynote speakers di rilievo internazionale, hanno confermato la loro partecipazione numerosi studiosi ed esperti che alimenteranno il dibattito sul tema della sostenibilità e del turismo, declinato in vari filoni lungo due giornate di lavori scientifici.
Jaeyeon Choe is a lecturer at Swansea University (UK) and an expert on Korean outbound travel. She obtained her PhD in Tourism Management with a minor in Cultural Anthropology from The Pennsylvania State University.
Her research areas revolve around sustainable tourism, wellness/spiritual tourism, pilgrimage, sustainable community development and the wellbeing of marginalised communities.
Jarkko Saarinen is a Professor of Human Geography (Tourism Studies) at the University of Oulu (Finland). His research interests include sustainable development, political ecology, tourism and development, responsibility in tourism, tourism-community relations, tourism and climate change adaptation, community-based natural resource management and wilderness studies. He has been working extensively in the peripheral areas of the Arctic and southern African regions.
Harald Pechlaner is Professor of Tourism and Head of the Center for Entrepreneurship at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Germany, Head of the Center for Advanced Studies at Eurac Research, Italy and Adjunct Research Professor at the School of Marketing/Curtin Business School in Western Australia. His research is focused on destination governance and leadership, entrepreneurial ecosystems and global challenges for regions and destinations.
